This 60 min. Prayer Journey entitled, Journey of the Father's Love is based on the Parable of the Prodigal Son (which is really a parable about the “prodigal” -- lavish and recklessly extravagant – love of the Father) in Luke 15:11-52.

In this journey the participant will choose whether to take on the character of the firstborn son or of the younger son. On whichever path they choose, they will walk in the footsteps of one of the characters and they will have choices along the way.  They will also hear what the other character is being asked to do while they themselves will have specific tasks to complete.  They will have chances to contemplate the grand spiritual reality of God as their Heavenly Father.  This journey will lead the participant to see that they have always been God’s child and that He has always loved them.  They will explore ways in which they attempt to declare themselves independent from God and they will be invited to celebrate the inclusion in the fellowship of the Triune God through the symbols of communion.  Lastly, they will be encouraged to take the message that ‘everyone is included in God’s love’ out to a world that lives less loved.
